About Your Therapist
Trauma & Nature Informed Therapist
Currently Accepting New Clients!
Kerri Easterbrook, LGPC
Hi! My name is Kerri Easterbrook. I am a licensed graduate professional counselor (LGPC) with specialized experience in providing trauma- and nature-informed therapy in Maryland.
Clients I work with often often have experienced difficulties in their past that are showing up now in the form of distressing thoughts or emotions and not being able to engage in life in a way that they want. They may also have underlying neurodivergence (such as ADHD or AuDHD) along with daily anxiety, panic attacks, relationship difficulties, isolation, and/or decreased life satisfaction. If this sounds like you, I am here to help.
Finding a therapist you connect with can be difficult, especially if you are apprehensive about therapy. To make that transition a little easier, I work to create a welcoming, genuine, and humorous environment for you so you feel safe being truly yourself, however that presents in this moment.
I promise to be transparent at all stages of counseling in order to help ease anxiety and increase safety. From our very first call together through the end of treatment, I will be honest with you. I will let you know why I ask certain questions during session, give you a heads-up on where we’re going, and clearly inform you about any boundaries that exist so that you are not caught off-guard.
I take therapy at your pace. This is your therapy – some days you may feel ready to dive deep into core wounds, while other days you may want us to stay surface level, or maybe somewhere in between – all of that is okay! Whether your ready to speed ahead towards your therapeutic goals, or if you need time warming up before making changes, I will happily adjust to your pace.
Outside of our time together, I enjoy cross-country road trips, walking off-trail through forests, trying new local restaurants, binging my favorite Netflix shows, and nerding out listening to the latest therapy podcasts.
Reach out to schedule a free 20-minute consultation to see if I would be a good fit for you. There is no pressure to schedule. In fact, if either of us feels this may not be right for you, I can help you find a therapist who might be a better fit, free of charge!

Credentials
I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in the state of Maryland (license # LGP13547). I work under the direct supervision of Dr. Shannon Shoemaker, LCPC, NCC, Board Approved Supervisor (license # LC9217) who I consult with on a weekly basis to ensure I am providing you with a high level of care. I also attend multiple therapist consultation and continuing education groups to continue expanding my counseling knowledge.
I graduated Hood College in 2022 with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. While there, I participated in research about the benefits of minfdulness, was treasurer for Counselors for Social Justice, and received the Counseling Outstanding Student Award.
During my internship, I worked with children and adolescents at Advanced Behavioral Health and young adults at the Hood College NeighborHood Counseling Training Center, where I helped people gain a deeper understanding of themselves, process their traumatic experiences, reduce their anxiety and depressive symptoms, learn how to manage their ADHD symptoms, and gain an overall improved sense of wellbeing.
Though I cannot promise these results for you, I can promise I will guide and support you towards your healing goals.
